Writers Cafe

Poems and paintings from the Art and Poetry Collaboration were exhibited at the Writers Cafe, featuring the work of the Creative Writing Class and 2-D Art.

    Book Club

         

    In January, the Book Club read Raven Boys, the first in the series of fantasy books by Maggie Stiefvater.  The next book club read will be The Dream Thieves.  A pizza lunch and discussion will take place on the first Tuesday following Spring Break.  See Ms. Lange to check out a book or Kindle and enter the continuing drama of the Raven Boys and Lily.

      Dr. Who, famous time traveler in the British science fiction series, shares a special message about libraries.  Listen below.

       

      Students Publish Latin iBook

      Several Latin students from Mrs. Lawson's classes worked on an independent project to create a Latin iBook, under the guidance of Joan Lange, librarian.
      The published iBook, Pompeii: A City beneath the Ashes, is being shared with 6th grade Latin students at Ensworth Middle School. Read more about the project in the blog, "Putting the 'I' in Books: Students Innovating iBooks."

      Freshman Wellness Students Evaluate Health Claims of Sports Drinks
